Description
Nechako Community Church (NCC) is seeking a full-time lead pastor who:- Loves the Lord and is growing in relationship with Him.
- Effectively develops leaders and develops ministry leadership teams
- Shares the vision of "We exist to be an authentic community to grow in Jesus Christ"
- Will provide leadership to and work with the NCC elders and leadership team to regularly review and refine as appropriate the vision and its implementation in a manner consistent with the Bible.
- Will lead and manage a multi-staff team. The team currently includes a full-time Assoc. Pastor and part-time secretary, facilities manager and custodian.
- Will demonstrate collaborative approaches to ministry in the community with other churches and/or community agencies in meeting community needs.
- Will work as a ministry coach to staff and church leadership in fulfilling the vision of the church.
- Will be the lead preaching pastor.
- Adheres to the doctrinal statement of the Mennonite Brethren Conference Confession of Faith.
Required qualifications:
- Proven ability to coach and develop leaders
- Proven ability to lead a staff team of 3 or more or volunteer team in a Christian Ministry setting over at least 2 years.
- Effective communications skills - preaching and teaching
- Personal relationship with Jesus
- Related degree from an accredited Bible College and a minimum of 3 years of church paid Christian Ministry
or equivalent years of church leadership experience and education related to this type of ministry (either lay leadership ministry or paid Christian ministry)
- Adheres to the doctrinal statement of the Mennonite Brethren Conference Confession of Faith.
- Credentialed by the BC Conference of MB Churches (if the applicant has not already been credentialed, this will be part of the process for selecting the lead pastor)
